"Desi" is a lovely example of Varian breeding crossed with Babson breeding on her dam's side.  She is a very tall, exotic mare with a hooky long neck, beautiful typey head, large eye, and a sweet disposition.  Desi is big-bodied with a large trot.  Presently she has three foals and is currently leased to Dahban Arabians.

DESPERANSA combines the best of Varian and Egyptian breeding with a tail female line that traces to the French import *KOLA. With her pedigree she should produce foals with great type and athletic ability.

 

DESPERANSA is by sire DESPERADO V, who has 75 National winners to his credit through 2009. His National Champion get include National Champions in sporthorse halter, main ring halter, reining, trail, working cow horse, hunt pleasure, sporthorse under saddle, dressage, show hack,  and western pleasure. 28 DESPERADO V get have produced National winners through 2009, and their National Champion get include National Champions in hunt pleasure, western pleasure, training level dressage, English show hack, sporthorse halter, and main ring halter. DESPERADO V is by U.S. Reserve National Champion Futurity Colt and English Pleasure HUCKLEBERRY BEY++, sire of 103 purebred National winners. DESPERANSA’s dam ABERJAHNA is 75% Egyptian. She is by SERR BAH, a straight Babson stallion. Babson Egyptians are known for their athletic prowess and have won on the National level in hunter, jumper, dressage, park and English pleasure. Her sire SERR BAH is by SERR ROU, a 7/8 brother to multi-National Champion Dressage and National winner sire SERR MAARINER and a 3/4 brother to SERABAAR, sire of IBN SABBAH BEDU+/, who has National titles in hunter, jumper and dressage.  SERR ROU’s dam BAHROU is a 3/4 sister to British National Champion Stallion and National Champion sire THE SHAH. SERR BAH is a double grandson of IBN FA-SERR, sire of SERR MAARINER, of U.S. Reserve National Champion Park AOTR BREFNYS DARTAGNAN and of 2 National winners in halter.
